Prince Harry’s girlfriend Cressida Bonas is the cover star of the October issue of Tatler magazine, a British glossy that focuses on coverage of high society, fashion and lifestyle.
The magazine cover features a close-up of Cressida’s face and hair, showing the dance student in a laid-back look with little makeup.
The magazine’s headline reads, “Harry loves Cressy,” with a subhead promising readers “20 things you need to know about Cressida Bonas.”
The Huffington Post writes Prince Harry, 28, and Cressida, 24, appear to have been dating for over a year, since Harry brought Cressida as his date to the “Batman: The Dark Knight Rises” premiere in July 2012. However, neither has acknowledged their relationship to the press.
The Daily Mail writes that Kate Middleton didn’t get her own Tatler cover until 2011, 8 years after she began dating Prince William, meaning that things between Harry and Cressida could be getting serious. Rumors have been buzzing that an engagement is on the horizon for Harry and Cressida.
However, it seems just as likely that Cressida’s high society pedigree is the reason Tatler would put her on the cover sooner than Kate Middleton. Cressida is the daughter of Lady Mary Gaye Curzon and heir to the Curzon banking fortune, as well as a model and socialite who has high-society friends including Princess Eugenie, who introduced the couple.
One of the 20 things readers need to know about Cressida is that she has a habit of exclaiming “Cringe de la cringe!” when she’s embarrassed. Some examples of mortifications that cause Cressida to say “Cringe de la cringe!” include a heavily-used paparazzi photograph where Cressida thinks her neck looks “weird” and “giraffe-like,” when people spell her name wrong, when people bring up her mother’s party-girl past, when an old bikini modeling shot resurfaced, when she was compared to Fergie, when she pulls a fashion faux pas, and any sort of media attention.
