Shahrukh Khan, Gauri’s Baby: New Surrogate AbRam is Perfectly Healthy, ‘I Am Just Very Happy That He is Healthy and Well Now!’
Shahrukh Khan and his wife Gauri are happy to announce that their newborn baby, AbRam, is healthy. After initial complications during birth, Khan expressed his happiness and relief that his son is doing well.
ApunkaChoice reported that Shahrukh Khan was asked about his son AbRam during a press junket to promote “Chennai Express.” Khan replied saying that he considers AbRam a lucky charm, since the film took in more than Rs. 150 million during the first week of its release not too long after the baby’s birth.
“When a baby comes to anyone’s home, it is considered very lucky for the home, for love, for family. AbRam is a small kid; to put such a responsibility on him, I don’t think it is right,” said Khan. “I am just very happy that he is healthy and well now! Beyond that, there’s shouldn’t be any pressure on him.”
King Khan then shifted the attention from his newborn baby to Rohit Shetty, talking about the success of his movie, “Chennai Express.”
“If we have to put pressure, we will put it on Rohit. He is a lucky charm, and he will be the one to work hard,” said Khan.
Previously, SRK got emotional while talking about his newborn son to the public. He and his wife Gauri stated that they'd rather not talk about their son’s health. AbRam has been under the spotlight from the media and many fans since his birth. Khan felt that it is unfair to talk about the life of his newborn, and wants his son to remain untouched by this job hazard.
AbRam was born on May 27 through surrogacy. After spending almost seven weeks in the hospital, due to a no sex determination health issue, he was released and was finally able to go home with the Khans.© 2013 Fashion & Style.com All rights reserved. Do not reproduce without permission.
