Carrie Underwood recently performed a cover song, “Paradise City,” from Guns ‘N Roses on Monday night at the CMA Music Festival in Nashville. Some fans thought she did a good job singing Axl Rose’s song while other thought it would be best to just leave it to Rose to sing the song.
Zimbio reported that the CMA Music Festival was aired on ABC when Underwood performed the song at the star-studded event. She kicked off with an explosive cover of the Guns ‘N Roses song.
Underwood certainly has the vocal ability to pull off the song, but fans thought it was strange to see her doing her best Axl Rose impression.
Who do you think sang the song better? Should Carrie Underwood do another cover from Guns ‘N Roses or should she just leave it to Axl Rose to rock out as the frontman?
People Magazine reported that Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley are said to be hosting the 47th annual CMA Awards on November 6 at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena. This will be the pair’s sixth consecutive time co-hosting the event.
“Carrie and Brad are the consummate hosts,” said Ed Hardy, president of the CMA board of directors, in a press release. “They have the respect of our industry, artistic credibility, critical acclaim and a quick-witted, genuine rapport that makes them popular with our audience and the viewers at home. We are delighted to have them back as hosts for the sixth year.”
Paisley has won 14 CMA Awards in his career, while Underwood has received five.
Fans are hoping to see Underwood and Paisley sing together just like in previous years. They can also be seen poking fun at fellow country artists while hosting the show, which will air on ABC at 8 p.m.© 2013 Fashion & Style.com All rights reserved. Do not reproduce without permission.
